Special Needs:

Prayer Requests:

  • The church attendance is usually small, but a few are always faithful and there have been some new people attending recently for which we are thankful. Pray for increase in that area and especially for a Japanese individual or couple who could come to work with us in the ministry.

  • May 7—Praise the Lord for Brian and Andrew as they graduate from Bob Jones University

  • May 3! Brian plans to continue his piano tuning and repair job at the university and
Andrew is looking to go to China to teach English as a ministry.

  • May 14—Rick and Becky Enterline will be living in our home and filling in for us in Japan while we are in the States. They will also carry on some English classes and keep the grass cut at camp property. Pray for their health and spiritual strength.

  • May 21—We are thankful for two new students for the English classes. One is a member of Philip’s basketball club, and the other is a 21 year old girl who used to attend our children’s English class 10 years ago. We try to use the English classes as an opportunity to teach the Bible. Pray for receptive hearts.

  • May 28—During May and June we will be visiting many of our supporting churches. Please pray for safety as we travel and for wisdom as we minister and represent the work in Japan.

  • June 4—We rejoice in the salvation of the lady who operates a pet store next to the church. Pray that she will continue to grow in the Lord and for the salvation of her husband.

  • June 11—Mr. Ishikawa is a man who has been attending church services for the past year. He has also been very kind to help work at the camp. He has yet to make a clear profession of salvation. We hope to visit his two sons who are presently living in the US.

  • June 18—Mr. Yamazaki needs a stable job to be able to support his family. Through this time of uncertainly we have had regular times to meet for prayer and read God’s Word together. He says this has been a time of God’s working in his heart

  • June 25—Pray for the people of Japan to truly seek the Lord and be open to God’s work in their hearts. Pray especially for men to be saved and be willing to provide leadership in the church.

  • July 2—If everything goes as planned, our son Andrew is planning to leave for China in early July, where he is to be teaching English in a university. Pray for opportunities to present the Gospel to those who are seeking the Truth.

  • July 9—We plan to leave the US on July 9, arriving back in Japan on the 10th. We always appreciate prayers for safety and for opportunities of witness along the way. The lady who operates the pet store has said she would pick us up when we return from the bus which comes from the airport.

  • July 16—English camp will be on 21st. of July. Please pray for good attendance and specific opportunities of witness for Christ.

  • July 23—Continue to pray for the Izu family and their ministry in the town of Iruma. We work closely with them and appreciate their faithfulness and diligence in their church ministry.

  • July 30—Family camp is scheduled for August 6 and 7. Pray for the speaker as he prepares and for hearts to be receptive to God’s truth. Pray for the ability to get the shower in the new building finished.
